Newly discovered frog species resembles ‘Kermit’

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A new species of frog is being compared to a famous felt version.

Scientists discovered the new type of glass frog in Costa Rica. It has bright green skin and bulging eyes, similar to “Kermit the Frog.”

Researchers say this is the first new glass frog found since 1973. There are 14 types in Costa Rica alone, the study in Zootaxa says.

It’s unclear if the new species has a passion for song and dance or for pigs with curly blonde hair.
