Piece of wood becomes weapon in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ind. (WISH) – Columbus police arrested a woman for allegedly beating her roommate with a piece of lumber.
Kimberly Jo Fields, 49, became upset when she learned that her roommate was selling his home where she had been living.
Police reported that she allegedly struck her roommate with a 1 foot thick by 4 feet wide piece of lumber. The victim fled the house and sought refuge with a neighbor.
He was later transported to Columbus Regional Hospital.
Fields is in Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of criminal confinement and battery.
