Police arrest 2 in connection to weekend double homicide
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said Tuesday night that homicide detectives have arrested two men in connection to a double homicide that occurred Sunday on the near southeast side.
Police say 24-year-old Marquis Cracraft and 22-year-old Kalee England were arrested on suspicion of murder for their involvement in the deaths of 21-year-old Eric Hoffman and 32-year-old William Koenig III.
Officers were called to the 1800 block of Cottage Avenue just before 5 p.m. Sunday on a report of a disturbance. They found Hoffman, Koening and a woman with gunshot wounds. Hoffman was pronounced dead at the scene and Koening died later at a hospital. The third victim, a woman, was treated for her injuries at the hospital, police said.
Officials later confirmed that the shooting occurred over a dog.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a charging decision.
