Police search for suspect following east side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were searching for a suspect after a person was shot on the city’s east side.

According to IMPD, a person was shot in the abdomen in the 100 block of North Euclid Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. A suspect was last seen running east into the alley toward Washington Street.

The victim was transported to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in serious condition They were later upgraded to critical condition.

Details surrounding the shooting were not immediately clear on Wednesday evening.
