Prayer group honors drive-by victims
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Drive-By Prayer Vigil honored 15 victims of deadly crime on Saturday.
A. Thomas Hill, a local pastor, and other members of Healing Streams Word & Worship Center gathered at 34th and Illinois streets at noon to pray.
The organization travels in a van displaying “Drive-By Prayer Vigil” and has a simple mission, “If drive-by guns can kill, then Drive-By Prayers can heal.”
24-Hour News 8 reported there were 135 homicides in 2014, which is the third highest on record.
