Probation, community service for man who stole car with child inside
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man who pleaded guilty to stealing a car with a 5-year old child in the back seat was sentenced Tuesday.
Mitchell Tarver got credit for the 96 days he’s already been behind bars.
He’ll spend the next year on probation, do community service and take anti-theft classes.
Police say he stole a car from a Speedway Gas Station back in December.
A woman left her child in the car with it running while she ran inside.
Police found the car and Tarver a few minutes later.
