INDIANAPOLIS (Inside INdiana Business) — Saint Joseph’s College of Marian University has named its inaugural chancellor for the Indianapolis campus. Leon Jackson will be responsible for leading what is now a two-year associate degree college.

In 2017, Saint Joseph’s announced it was closing its Rensselaer campus as it struggled with financial hardships. In 2018, it formed a partnership with Marian. In the fall of 2019, it launched on the Indianapolis campus.

Jackson will work alongside Marian’s senior vice president of strategic growth and innovation to lead and plan Saint Joseph as it tries to grow enrollment.

“I am honored to serve as chancellor, and it is my goal to educate more students and community leaders on the many options Marian University has available to students looking to further their education,” said Dr. Jackson. “A two-year college degree is the first step that many talented students will take on their path to becoming a transformational leader.”

Jackson has been with Marian University since 2017, most recently serving as the executive director of strategic initiatives.
