Crews from the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at Burton’s residence in the 2700 block of East Main Cross Street around 7 a.m. Saturday. While talking to Burton, deputies with the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office realized a home about a block away, at 2634 E. Main Cross St., was also on fire.
