Target no longer selling clown masks after recent ‘clown threats’

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Target is pulling its clown masks at stores and online after the creepy clown threats across the country.

According to CNN, Target decided to pull its clown masks after recent threats and incidents. Some have been proven to be fake, but others have lead to arrests, including gunmen in clown masks robbing gas stations and restaurants.

As of Monday, Target declined to say which masks it pulled. Some were still available on Target.com on Monday through links to SpiritHalloween.com and HalloweenCostumes.com. Target was selling a “horror clown mask” for $19.99 through Spirit Halloween.

But, as of Tuesday morning, if you search clown masks on the website, nothing pulls up.
