Vandals smash windows at Delaware Co. Republican Party

DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – The Delaware County Republican Party says an individual or individuals threw two landscaping blocks through a window at their office on Oct. 8.

According to their Facebook page, a Donald J. Trump sign and Todd Young sign were hanging from the window.

The party said if anyone would like to donate to cover the cost of the window, then to visit www.delawarecounty.gop/donate.

They said the cost to replace the window is estimated at about $1,200.

In addition, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said it’s received reports of campaign signs being taken from yards in the Yorktown and Mt. Pleasant Township area.

Sheriff Ray Dudley said those who remove signs without the authority to do so, may be criminal conversion under IC 35-43-4-1.

“We take these reports seriously,” said Dudley. “Everyone has a right to support the candidate of their choice and my office will pursue charges against anyone trying to deprive others of that right.”
