Woman seriously injured, man arrested after ATV crash
WORTHINGTON, Ind. (WTHI) – A woman is seriously injured and a man is arrested after an ATV crash.
Indiana conservation officers are investigating the late Saturday night crash.
The crash occurred in a wooded area behind a residence.
Alicia Nelson, 34, of Bloomfield sustained serious blunt force trauma injuries to her face, lacerations and possible internal injuries. Nelson was the passenger on the ATV.
Jarred Conolty, 31, of Bloomfield was driving the ATV when it rolled backward while climbing a steep embankment.
When officers arrived on scene they could smell alcohol on Conolty.
He was arrested by Indiana Conservation Officers on preliminary charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated and taken to the Greene County Jail.
Nelson was taken to IU Health Hospital in Bloomington for treatment.
There is no update on Nelson’s condition.
