Women, men run in red dresses for good cause

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH ) – The American Heart Association’s Annual Red Dress Dash around Monument Circle is Wednesday morning.

More than 100 women, and even a few men, will run around the circle in a red dress to raise awareness for heart disease in women.

February is American Heart Month. The Red Dress Dash begins at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The event will also feature ten women who have, together, shed 500 pounds.

Also at the event is the unveiling of this year’s “Indy Has Heart HeARTwork” with WISH-TV contributor Derek Daly as a celebrity artist.
